The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the National Police detained three more enemy accomplices who set fire to official vehicles of the Defense Forces in Ternopil and Cherkasy, the SBU informs.

On Monday, the SBU reported on the Telegram channel that the priority targets of the defendants were cars undergoing maintenance after completing combat missions on the front line.

"In Cherkasy, an 18-year-old student of a local college was detained in hot pursuit, who, by order of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, set fire to a military SUV using a flammable mixture," the message says.

According to the SBU, the young man recorded the fire on his phone camera and sent a video report to the Russian curator, hoping to receive a monetary reward.

However, as noted in the message, the lawbreaker did not receive money from the enemy. He was notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (obstruction of the legitimate activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during a special period) and is currently in custody.

In Ternopil, according to the SBU, two more arsonists who acted as part of a criminal group were detained – local residents who were looking for easy money on Telegram channels, where a representative of the Russian special services came to them.

"In order to destabilize the socio-political situation in the western region, the enemy promised the arsonists money in exchange for a series of arson attacks. However, they did not receive the promised money, as law enforcement officers detained both intruders "on the hot spot" after the first arson," the message says.

Both defendants are suspected under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (obstruction of the legitimate activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during a special period, committed by prior agreement by a group of persons) and also taken into custody.

Comprehensive measures were carried out by SBU officers in Ternopil and Cherkasy regions under the procedural leadership of the regional prosecutor's offices.
