Kriukivsky railcar building plant doubles net profit in 2008

OJSC Kriukivsky railcar building plant (Kremenchuk, Poltava region), one of Ukraine's leading railway car producers, in 2008 tentatively saw UAH 399.994 million in net profit, which is twice more year-over-year (UAH 199.935 million).

This comes from an announcement on the holding of a general meeting of the company’s shareholders scheduled for April 24, where the distribution of its net profit would be discussed.

The agenda of the meeting also includes reports of the board members and measures on the restructuring of the OJSC conducted in 2008 and scheduled for 2009.

According to the report, as of January 1, 2009, the company’s assets were UAH 1.515 billion, a 52.7% rise year-over-year.

The plant’s bills receivable last year soared by 81.5%, to UAH 486.75 million. Its current commitments as of early 2009 were UAH s257.76 million, which is 41.4% up year-over-year, and the company had no long-term commitments.
