Slavutych brewery from Uman distillery stop production, sales and advertisement of products with capsules in bottles

One of the largest beer producers in Ukraine, OJSC Slavutych brewery, has asked Uman distillery in Cherkasy region to stop the production, sale and advertisement of products with capsules with money in bottles.

According to a report of Slavutych issued on Tuesday, the company considers these actions of Uman distillery as unfair competition.

"OJSC Slavutych believes that the appearance of the above-mentioned products on the Ukrainian market and its advertising is unfair competition, as the advertisement, labels and sale of products with capsules with money, as used by Uman distillery, repeat the content and principles of actions of OJSC Slavutych," reads the report.

The report says that if Uman distillery did not stop its action soon, Slavutych plans to protect its rights via the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and submit an appeal to court for compensation for its losses.
