The national JSC Naftogaz Ukrainy in 2009 plans to sell 52.377 billion cubic meters of gas to all categories of consumers.

This was stated in a draft financial plan of the state holding submitted to the Ukrainian cabinet and quoted by the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia weekly newspaper issued on March 1.

Thus, the volume of gas to be sold to consumers this year is almost 22 billion cubic meters less than Ukraine has usually consumed in recent years.

According to a forecast in the plan, 17.3 billion cubic meters will be supplied to households, over 1 billion cubic meters – to budget organizations, almost 10 billion cubic meters – to heat supply companies, 10.83 billion cubic meters to industry (another 5 billion cubic meters will be supplied by Gazprom Sbyt Ukraine), 505 million cubic meters to metals and chemical companies, and 5.12 billion cubic meters in technical gas used to power the gas transit system.
