Ukraine's nominal GDP reaches UAH 950.5 b in 2008, says statistics

Ukraine's nominal GDP in 2008 was UAH 950.5 billion, according to a report of the State Statistics Committee issued on February 27.

The committee confirmed an earlier published figure for real GDP growth last year by 2.1%, while one year ago the figure was 7.6%.

Taking into account earlier published data, nominal GDP in 2008 was 33.3% up year-over-year, while in Q4, 2008 the pace of its growth fell to 18.7% against 41% in Q3, 40.8% in Q2 and 35.6% in Q1.

In addition, the committee registered a 9.1% fall in nominal GDP in Q4, 2008 compared to the previous quarter.

In December nominal GDP was UAH 75.127 billion, against UAH 75.38 billion in November 2008 and UAH 85.101 billion in October 2008.
