Volovikov farm in Rivne region opens dairy complex for 1,800 cows
Volovikov farm on December 1, 2011 opened a dairy complex for 1,800 cows in the village of Ilyin (Rivne region), complex head Oleksandr Bukovsky has told Interfax-Ukraine.
The planned capacity of the complex is 35 tonnes of milk per day.
Bukovsky said that the enterprise reconstructed an existing farm and constructed a number of new facilities. However, he did not specify the amount of investment made in the complex.
Alfa-Bank (Ukraine) reported that Volovikov farm raised a UAH 36 million loan from the bank for five years.
According to the bank, the agricultural enterprise used loan funds to reconstruct and construct the dairy complex on the basis of an existing farm in the village of Ilyin.
As reported, Volovikov farm was founded in August 2001. Currently the farm has 4,000 cows.
