E. G. Development to build 300-room Hilton hotel for $160 m in Yalta
Kyiv-based E.G.Development is to build a 300-room, five-star Hilton hotel in downtown Yalta on the coast of the Black Sea near the Prymorsky Park, and investment in the project will reach some $150-160 million.
The project to build the first five-star hotel under the famous Hilton brand in Yalta was presented at a meeting of the executive committee of the Yalta town council on November 24, 2011, reads a posting on the official Web site of the city of Yalta.
"The resort hotel will appear after the transformation of a resort and recreation center – the Sevastopol sanatorium located in the Prymorsky Park. The investment in the realization of the project will total $150-160 million," reads the report.
The chief manager of the project at E. G. Development, which is the developer of the project, Oleksandr Deputat, told Interfax-Ukraine that the key investors of the project are a Swiss fund and a large Russian construction corporation.
According to the report, the project, the key designer of which is British Architect John Seifert, foresees the construction of a 24-storey hotel of around 32,000 square meters. All rooms will have a sea view and balconies up to ten square meters in area. The hotel will have a medical and diagnostic center, a children's club, a SPA center, four swimming pools, a conference hall with up to 500 seats, five restaurants, a 70-car underground parking area and a helicopter pad.
Deputat said that the project also foresees the development of beach facilities adjacent to the hotel at Prymorsky Park.
The hotel's opening is scheduled for April 2014, the posting said.
