The Ukrainian cabinet has approved a state privatization program for 2012-2015, Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, Oleksandr Riabchenko, told journalists after a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
"The privatization program has been passed. It differs [from the previous program]," he said.
Riabchenko said that there were many companies in the country that the state had failed to privatize due to their value being set too high.
He said that often investors are not ready to pay high prices, so the cabinet is considering the option of partially investing in the development of existing companies.
Riabchenko said that the fund is planning to complete the privatization process in three years.
