MTS-Ukraine sees 1.5% fall in net profit inQ3, 2011

Private joint-stock company MTS-Ukraine (earlier UMC, Kyiv), a subsidiary of Russia's opened joint-stock company Mobile TeleSystems, in July-September 2011 cut its net profit by 1.5% year-over-year, to UAH 358.9 million, reads a company report issued on Monday.

The company said that MTS-Ukraine in Q3, 2011 increased income by 8.4% year-over-year, to UAH 2.498 billion.

According to the report, OIBDA in Q3, 2011 rose by 11%, to UAH 1.22 billion.

The average revenue per user (ARPU) in July-September 2011 grew by 0.5%, to UAH 42.2 and monthly average of minutes of use per user (MOU) was up by 8.3%, to 586 minutes.
