State Railways Administration Ukrzaliznytsia is intending to start implementing electronic documents with the Russian Federation in the current year.
"We have certain agreements with Russia and Belarus on pilot projects to introduce electronic documents," the head of the main commercial department at Ukrzaliznytsia, Volodymyr Ivaschuk, said at a press conference on Wednesday.
According to him, the railways in September 2011 will hold a meeting with the Belarusian side to approve an action plan. At the same time, such a plan has been developed with Russia. In particular, according to Ivaschuk, Ukrzaliznytsia intends to introduce a pilot project with Russia on the base of Pivdenna Railways. The project will be divided into several stages.
