Ukraine, during Ukrainian-Polish talks to be held in Kyiv on August 17, is planning to raise the issue of visa facilitation for Euro 2012 fans, Director of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's Information Policy Department Oleh Voloshyn has said.
"Of course, most attention will be paid to the simplification of visa procedures for [Ukrainian] fans attending Euro 2012 matches in Poland. We insist and we will decisively raise this issue with the Polish side and the EU as a whole, regarding the creation of favorable conditions for crossing the Ukrainian-Polish border for people who bought tickets for football matches," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
Voloshyn said that Ukraine and Poland were currently working on a formula that would help simplify border crossings during the football tournament.
