The automobile dealer of the AIS Company – Autocenter Kharkiv trade house – is to supply 1,539 cars with regular steering wheels to the fund for social protection of disabled people of the Ukrainian Labor and Social Policy Ministry, while public joint-stock company Zaporizhia Automobile Plant (ZAZ) will supply 329 manually operated cars for disabled people.
According to a Monday report in the Visnyk Derzhavnykh Zakupivl newspaper, Autocenter Kharkiv and ZAZ were declared winners of the relevant tender on June 30, 2011.
The final dates for the signing of the agreements are July 30, 2011. The value of an agreement with Autocenter Kharkiv totals UAH 97.419 million and that with ZAZ – UAH 35.185 million. ZAZ is to supply 222 manually operated cars for people with one disabled leg worth UAH 14.49 million and 307 cars for people with disabled two legs worth almost UAH 20.7 million.
As reported, ZAZ earlier said that it plans to start producing new Sens and Lanos cars for disabled people instead of the Slavuta - production of which ended in 2010.
