Best Western International to open three-star hotel in Kyiv in 2012
Best Western International (the United States), whose official representative in Ukraine is ArtBuild Hotel Group (ABHG, Kyiv), plans in 2012 to open a three-star hotel in Kyiv, which will become the second one in the chain in Ukraine, ABHG Development Director Natalia Lysniak has said.
"A new Best Western hotel is unlikely to appear in Ukraine in 2011. But another hotel could open in 2012," she said.
She did not specify other details on this hotel, adding that Best Western has one hotel in Ukraine – in Sevastopol. It was opened about two years ago (late 2009-early 2010).
In addition, according to Lysniak, ABHG plans next year to implement some more projects, in particular, the company has several applications from the owners of hotel real estate in Kyiv and Crimea concerning cooperation with the Best Western chain.
She said that the Best Western chain is mulling the opening of hotels under its brand in all cities of Ukraine and one of the conditions is the availability of at least 70-75 rooms except for hotels with unique location.
