Ukrtatnafta to spend $20 m on environmental projects by 2014
PJSC Ukrtatnafta (Kremenchuk oil refinery, Poltava region) plans by 2014 to spend about $20 million on environmental projects, the deputy board chairman for production and capital construction at Ukrtatnafta, Serhiy Kosheliuk, said at the conference entitled "Oil refining, oil transport, oil trading in the CIS and Baltic States" in Odesa.
According to him, most funds will be used for the construction of a facility for skimming when loading and storing fuel, as well as the construction of a block to clean hydrocarbon gas from hydrogen sulfide.
In addition, Kosheliuk said that the company spends about $250,000 annually to maintain security systems and monitor environmental systems.
