The fall in GDP in Ukraine this year will be 3-5%, according to Fist Deputy Head of the presidential secretariat and president's envoy to the Ukrainian cabinet, Oleksandr Shlapak.
"The fall will be 3-5%," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday.
As reported, GDP growth in 2008 was 2.1%, while in 2007 the figure was 7.6%.
In 2009, the government expects a slowdown in GDP growth to 0.4%, while experts forecast a 5% fall.
