Petrol stocks at Ukrainian filling stations in December 2008 grew by 1.98% on November, to 129,000 tonnes, while diesel stocks soared by 5.28% to 59,800 tonnes, the State Statistics Committee reported on Wednesday.
In December, filling stations sold 315,400 tonnes of petrol, which was 13.6% up compared to December 2007, and 0.35% up compared to November 2008. In December 133,800 tonnes of diesel fuel were sold trough filling stations, which was 3.8% up on December 2007 and 1.8% down on November 2008.
In December, filling stations sold light fuel worth UAH 2.779 billion, including 70.2% of motor petrol and 29.8% of diesel fuel.
In December 2008, the share of A-94-98 petrol was 63.4% of total sales, the share of A-90-93 petrol was 29.7%, and the share of A-72-80 was 6.9%.
According to the committee, the number of filling stations last month dropped by 22, to 6,117 stations.
