Kyiv Economic Court on Tuesday held a first hearing on a case of the bankruptcy of CJSC B.I.K., part of the Elita-Center Group, according to a press release of the Center for Protection of Rights organization, which represents the interests of Elita-Center fraud victims.
The press service said that claims of the first 14 creditors were heard in court on Tuesday. According to the center chairman, Yuriy Fedorenko, around 300 creditors submitted claims to CJSC B.I.K. worth around UAH 100 million.
He said that the company's leadership does not recognize the claims of most of the creditors who were Elita-Center fraud victims, apart from investors who signed agreements with the owner of CJSC B.I.K., Ihor Tsyhanok, who is in jail now.
At present, Interfax-Ukraine did not manage to specify the number of investors who signed agreements with Tsyhanok.
The next hearing on the case, at which the claims of another 100 creditors will be heard, is scheduled for January 27.
