The price of Russian gas supplied to Ukraine will fall from $360 per 1,000 cubic meters in the first quarter to $270 per 1,000 cubic meters in the third quarter of this year, Naftogaz Ukrainy Deputy Board Head Volodymyr Trikolich has said.
The natural gas price formula involves the price of gas and heavy oil, but with a nine-month delay, he said on Ukraine's First National TV Channel on Tuesday evening.
Trikolich forecasts that in the fourth quarter, the price of gas imported to Ukraine will fall to $162 per 1,000 cubic meters, which will bring this year's average price of gas at $228-229 per 1,000 cubic meters.
