Kyiv residents to pay less if they pay housing and utilities bills on time
The cost of housing and utilities services for Kyiv residents will rise by 24-26% if they pay housing and utilities bills by the twentieth of the month, but by 31-34% if residents pay their bills after the twentieth, the head of the main department for price policy at Kyiv City State Administration, Vasyl Yastrubynsky, said at a press conference on Wednesday.
According to him, new tariffs for housing and utilities services will be introduced in Kyiv starting from February 1: the rates for central heating, hot water supplies will rise in price by 28.8%, and the rent will be approved for each residential house individually.
In particular, according to him, rent rates in Kyiv will be increased by between UAH 1.98 and UAH 2.88 per square meter.
At the same time, if residents pay housing and utilities bills in time, by the twentieth, then the tariffs for heating and hot water supplies will be 6% less, and rents will be 10% less.
Thus, if residents pay housing and utilities bills in time then the payment for a one-roomed flat, where one person lives, will be increased from UAH 226 to UAH 286 (by 26%), for a two-roomed flat, where three persons live, from UAH 432 to UAH 535 (by 24%), and a three-roomed flat, where four persons live, from UAH 592 to UAH 737 (by 24%).
However, if residents pay housing and utilities bills after the twentieth, then the cost of housing and utilities services will be increased for one-roomed, two-roomed, three-roomed flats by 34%, 31% and 32% respectively.
