Hryvnia strengthened against main foreign currencies in 2010, says NBU

The official hryvnia exchange rate in 2010 strengthened against all three main foreign currencies for Ukraine: the U.S. dollar, the euro and the Russian ruble, according to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

The central bank said that the largest fall was seen for the euro: by almost UAH 0.9 or 7.8%.

The Russian ruble and the dollar fell by 0.4-0.5 kopecks in 2010, which were 1.9% and 0.05% falls respectively.
