Russia's vet watchdog lets 11 Ukrainian producers export meat and milk to Russia from Dec 30

Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has added 11 Ukrainian companies to the list of importers authorized to ship farm products to Russia, Rosselkhoznadzor's press service reported.

"Six dairy factories, four beef producers and one poultry producer have been added to the list of Ukrainian companies authorized to export products of animal origin to Russia on the basis of the guarantees provided by Ukraine's State Veterinary Medicine Committee," reads the report.

In particular, the following companies could export cheese, dried milk and butter as of December 30, 2010: Kryzhopil cheese factory Ltd., Bila Tserkva dairy factory Ltd., TekhMolProm Ltd., PJSC Globino butter factory, CJSC Lozova dairy factory, and OJSC Velykoburlutsky cheese factory.

Koziatyn meat-packing plant, Spartak Ltd., CJSC Agroproduct, and Pryluky-Agropererobka Ltd. are allowed to export beef to Russia.

Agromars Ltd. Complex is allowed to export poultry and raw products made of it.

Simultaneously, Rosselkhoznadzor as of December 30, 2010, cancelled temporarily limitations on the supply of products to Russia for OJSC Shostka dairy factory (it was renamed PJSC Bel Shostka Ukraine from November 9, 2010).

As reported, in keeping with the ban introduced by Rosselkhoznadzor in the middle of October 2010 following joint inspections by Russian and Ukrainian veterinary experts, only three out of 15 Ukrainian meat-processing enterprises and 10 out of 14 dairy producers were allowed to export their foods to Russia.
