EGB Ceps Holding becomes owner of 99.9% of Erste Bank
Austria's Erste Group Bank AG will control its Ukrainian-based subsidiary Erste Bank (Kyiv) through EGB Ceps Holding (Austria) as of January 2011, the bank has announced
As Erste bank said in the information disclosure system of the State Commission for Securities and the Stock Market, EGB Ceps Holding has become the owner of 99.9999% of the Ukrainian bank's stocks, while EGB Ceps Beteiligungen GmbH (Austria) holds 0.0001%. The bank received the corresponding information on December 31, 2010.
According to the report, Erste Group Bank AG retained full control over Erste Bank despite the change in the structure of the bank's charter capital.
Erste Bank (formerly Prestige Bank) was registered in 2006. Erste Group Bank AG was its only stockholder as of October 1, 2010.
The bank ranked 22nd among Ukraine's 176 operating banks in terms of total assets worth UAH 10.814 billion as of October 1, 2010, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
