Kharkiv construction companies in the near future plan to create the Regional Construction Association to oversee the construction market in Kharkiv region, according to a press release of Kharkiv-based Avantazh Investment and Construction Corporation.
"The constructors plan in the near future to create the Regional Construction Association to form mechanisms for public oversight of the construction market in the Kharkiv region. The anti-crisis committee, [which was established in 2008 to initiate the dismissal of the Kharkiv Regional Inspection for State Architecture and Construction Control and create normal conditions for the work of constructors], said that the 15 largest construction and developing companies in the region would be the core of the association," reads the release.
According to the release, representatives of construction companies belonging to the anti-crisis committee have approved the appointment of Oleksandr Nepomniaschy acting head of the Kharkiv Regional Inspection for State Architecture and Construction Control.
The committee said that the previous leadership of the inspection would do everything to retain control over the inspection, although the committee plans to foil these attempts.
According to the report, Kharkiv constructors will on Monday hold their first meeting with Nepomniaschy, with the participation of representatives of the city and regional authorities.
