Kyiv-based Konti confectionery group, one of Ukraine's largest confectionery producers, increased its sales in 2008 by 40% to UAH 2.6 billion (excluding VAT), the company said in a press release.
Ukraine accounted for UAH 1.1 billion of sales (25% more than in 2007), Russia for UAH 1 billion (55% more) and CIS countries for the remainder (54% more).
In natural terms sales increased 4% to 214,000 tonnes.
The company produced 219,000 tonnes of confectionery products in 2008, 7% more than in 2007. Its share of the Ukrainian market rose to 13.8%.
