Imported gas price in Ukraine 1.3% up in Q4, 2010

The price of imported gas in Ukraine in October to November 2010 grew by 1.3% compared to July-September 2010, to $252 per 1,000 cubic meters, Gazprom Sbyt Ukraine Director Anatoliy Podmyshalsky has told journalists.

"The price will probably be higher, as the price [of imported gas] has risen slightly: it was $248, and now it is a bit higher than $252," he said in Kyiv on Wednesday.

Naftogaz Ukrainy Board Chairman Yevhen Bakulin also confirmed the increase in the price of gas imported to Ukraine in the fourth quarter of 2010.

"We have a change of $5," he said.

As reported, Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov after the Russian-Ukrainian talks last week said that the price of Russian gas for Ukraine in the first quarter of 2011 could be $230-235 per 1,000 cubic meters compared to $252 per 1,000 cubic meters in the fourth quarter of 2010.
