Kyivpastrans is intending by the end of 2011 to buy 77 trolleybuses from Lviv bus plants Ltd. (LAZ) under the procedure of purchasing from a single seller, according to a statement in the Visnyk Derzhavnykh Zakupivel bulletin.
The price to be charged by LAZ is UAH 346.5 million.
As reported, three other cities hosting the finals of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship, including Lviv, Donetsk and Kharkiv, plan to buy buses and trolleybuses under a similar procedure.
Kyiv plans to use budget funds to buy 210 buses, 210 trolleybuses, 46 trams, and, using the funds of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, acquire another 185 buses and 185 trolleybuses for Euro 2012.
In addition, municipal enterprise Vinnytsia tram and trolleybus department plans to buy 33 buses from a single seller under a financial leasing scheme running for five years.
According to the statement, the company plans to acquire 17 LAZ A183 D1 buses and 16 LAZ A183 FO buses.
In this case, the price of vehicles set by LAZ Finance is about UAH 64.71 million.
