SPF sends UAH 3.05 bln from selling blocking stakes in energy companies to national budget
The State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF) has sent the last tranches from the sale of give blocking takes left in state ownership in energy supply companies in August. A total of UAH 3.053 billion was sent to the national budget, First Deputy SPF Head Dmytro Parfenenko has said.
"It was a matter of honor to sell these stakes. We coped with this project with honor," he wrote on his Facebook page.
The national budget for 2017 announced proceeds from privatization in the amount of UAH 17.1 billion. In January-July 2017, UAH 191.56 million was transferred to the budget.
Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk told reporters last week that the draft national budget for 2018 envisages an increase in the plan for privatization proceeds to UAH 22 billion with a forecast exchange rate of UAH 29.30/$1.
According to Deputy SPF Head Yuriy Nikitin, the privatization department hopes for the main revenues this year and next year to be thanks to the sale of controlling stakes in Odesa Port-Side Plant (expected in February 2018), Centrenergo (April 2018), six regional electricity supply companies, as well as the United Mining and Chemical Company, the Agrarian Fund and the State Food-Grain Corporation.
