Ukraine to accelerate economy growth to 6-7% per year, Yanukovych says

Ukraine's economic reforms should speed up the economy growth rate to 6-7% per year, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.

"The key measure of successful reform is a high economy growth rate at a level of 6-7% per year," he said addressing the public in Kyiv on Thursday

"The crisis showed that the existing export and raw materials model has been exhausted. At the same time it has become a catalyst for new modern reforms," the head of state stressed.

According to the president, the high economic growth rate will increase the number of jobs.
