Building ministry proposes free allocation of land to experienced developers to build affordable housing
The Regional Development and Construction Ministry is intending to hold a panel discussion on the ministry's proposal to allocate land for free to experienced developers for the construction of affordable housing, First Deputy Building Minister Anatoliy Berkuta said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.
"We invite [the participants] to a panel discussion [which will be held] in a week. We will discuss the issue of free land allocation, not through auctions, to developers who have been working on the Ukrainian market for many years and will provide for the full development of the land," he said.
The deputy minister said that the matter concerns free land allocation exclusively for the construction of affordable housing and only to those developers, who, for example, within the last three years have constructed not less than 100,000 square meter of housing along with social objects and engineering networks.
