Plan for reforming Ukraine until 2014 foresees completion of restructuring Ukrzaliznytsia by 2014
The strategy of economic reforms in Ukraine in 2010-2014 foresees restructuring state railways administration Ukrzaliznytsia between 2012 and 2014, an informed source in the sector has told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the source, it is planned by the end of 2010 to cancel preferential tariffs for cargo transportation, as well as develop a plan for the restructuring Ukrzaliznytsia and methods for regulating tariffs on access to its infrastructure.
In addition, it is planned to charge fees from commercial vehicles for using the main automobile roads and approve the most important infrastructure objects.
It is planned by the end of 2012 to introduce economically grounded tariffs for transportation, and transfer local infrastructure projects to the management of local authorities.
The project also foresees a decrease in the level of rolling-stock depreciation from 85% to 65%.
As reported, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych is intending on June 3 to present the final version of the strategy of economic reforms in Ukraine in 2010-2014.
