The Emergencies Ministry of Ukraine does not rule out that the water level on the Danube River may rise to a critical point, Emergencies Minister Nestor Shufrych said at a press briefing on Tuesday.

However, the minister said that the latest calculations on this matter are expected in about five to seven days, when information from Hungary and Romania is available. After this, an analysis and forecast can be made, the minister said.

According to Shufrych, Ukraine can cope with the challenges associated with possible floods.

The minister reminded that Ukrainian rescuers helped Poland to overcome the consequences of flooding.

"Our guys have worked in the northern regions of Poland," he said, adding that the Ukrainian rescuers had been highly praised by Poland's leadership for their work.
