BernsteinResearch predicts boosting of coal methane extraction in Ukraine

Great interest to coal-bed methane extraction is seen in Ukraine, according to analysts from BernsteinResearch Company (the United States).

"While the market is awaiting the results of drilling in Poland, Ukraine is quickly becoming a new epicenter in the issue of untraditional gas sources," reads a company study, which has been sent to Interfax-Ukraine.

The analysts said that the endorsement of the law regulating methane exploration and extraction a year ago has boosted the interest of investors.

The company took the signing of an agreement between Poland's EuroGas and Europe's Total Company on coal-bed methane exploration in Ukraine as an example.
