AvtoKrAZ to supply 200 vehicles to North Africa by late 2010

AvtoKrAZ holding company (Kremenchuk, Poltava region), the only producer of heavy trucks in Ukraine, is planning in 2010 to supply 200 KrAZ vehicles to the Defense Ministry of a North African country, the holding's press service has reported.

The third delivery of KrAZ-644317 and KrAZ-632207 vehicles will be soon made to the customer's defense ministry under a number of contracts signed. The first delivery was made in late 2009.

The holding company did not announce the name of the customer country. The company's press service said that 97 vehicles would be supplied to the customer.

The customer;s representatives visited AvtoKrAZ with the purpose of checking the next supply of vehicles. The checks include correspondence to contract specifics and tests.

As a result of checks, a document on the correspondence of the vehicles to the contract terms was signed, which allows AvtoKrAZ to ship the trucks.

AvtoKrAZ makes 28 basic vehicle models, and more than 260 modifications and trim levels of civilian and military vehicles. The company's trucks are in use in more than 60 countries.
