2010 Law Prize winners named
The nomination commission of the 2010 Law Prize has selected three winners in each of 23 nominations, according to the Yurydychna Praktyka (Practice of Law) publication.
According to the report, the commission selected the best legal advisers and lawyers in the spheres of real estate, bank and financial law, taxation, competitive law, intellectual ownership, telecommunications, court law, as well as best law companies and law departments.
The Kyiv-based law firms Asters, Vasyl Kysyl and Parters, Konnov and Sozanovsky won the nomination for law firm of the year; Kyiv-based law firms EnGarde, LCF Law Group, Verner and Partners were named the best law firms – discovery of the year; Kyiv-based international law firms Baiten Burkhardt and CMS Cameron McKenna DLA Piper were named the best foreign law firms of the year.
The law department at the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (Kyiv), the law department at Energoatom (Kyiv), the group of law provision at Sevastopol City Sanitary and Epidemiological Station (Sevastopol) were declared the best departments at state establishments.
The management for law provision at Metinvest Holding Ltd. (Donetsk), the law department at the 1+1 Studio TV Company (Kyiv), the law department at CJSC Obolon (Kyiv) were selected as the best law departments at industrial companies.
The law departments at Auchan Hypermarket Ukraine (Kyiv), METRO Cash & Carry Ltd. (Kyiv), CJSC Fozzy Group (Kyiv) were named as the best law departments in trade companies (FMCG).
Head of the law department at CJSC Fozzy Group (Kyiv) Andriy Zhurzhy, Head of the law administration at TVV Ltd. (Kyiv) Tetiana Orhimchuk, and Director for legal issues at the 1+1 Studio TV Company (Kyiv) were named as the best legal advisers.
