The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (Socar) plans by the end of the first quarter of 2010 to start retail sales of fuel under the Socar brand in Ukraine, the company's president, Rovnag Abdullayev, told the press on Thursday.
"At present, some 20 filling stations were bought [in Ukraine], and they are being rebranded. We also bought a large fuel terminal in Odesa... We expect that by the end of the first quarter we'll start selling fuel," he said.
He also said that Socar is creating a filling station chain in Azerbaijan under the Socar brand.
