Viktor Yanukovych, for his election campaign, spent UAH 322.54 million, helping him to be elected the new President of Ukraine, the Uryadovy Kuryer newspaper said on Thursday.
The newspaper noted that all of the money used to fund Yanukovych's election campaign came from his party, the Party of Regions.
His rival, Yulia Tymoshenko, spent in total UAH 289.93 million for her campaign.
UAH 272.13 million came from her political faction and UAH 18.04 million from individual donations. She did not invest any personal funds in the election campaign.
The official exchange rate for February 25 is UAH 7.99 to the dollar.
