Lobortas & Karpova brand established by Lobortas Jewellery House ceased to exist, Igor Lobortas the owner says to Interfax-UKRAINE. From now only Lobortas brand will be used by the Jewellery House.
Lobortas Classic Jewellery House as well as the eponymous brand has existed since 1991. Two years ago it was decided to establish an experimental trademark called Lobortas & Karpova. However investment in the new brand was not successful primarily because its sonority has been questionable. On the other hand, hundreds of Lobortas & Karpova already existing jewellery masterpieces will naturally rise in value as collectibles and limited edition items within luxury-segment, Igor Lobortas says.
According to Lobortas, the decision to return to the earlier proven brand was taken at the beginning of 2010.
Lobortas brand exists since 1991. Lobortas Classic Jewellery House develops and manufactures handmade jewellery, family and collectible luxury masterpieces. In December 2007 the Faberge International Awarding Committee proclaimed to give to Igor Lobortas, the founder of Lobortas Jewellery House, the Medal of Carl Faberge, its highest award.
