OJSC Dniproenergo, an electricity supply company in 2009 saw its net profit drop by 23% year-over-year, to UAH 64.45 million.
According to a company report at the State Commission for Securities and the Stock Market, its net sales income last year rose by 1.1% or UAH 88.42 million year-over-year, to UAH 8.112 billion, and its gross profits jumped by 2.5 times or UAH 348.96 million, to UAH 584.02 million.
The company's net losses in October-December 2009 went up by 5.1 times year-over-year, to UAH 79.41 million, and its net income grew by 37%, to UAH 2.351 billion.
Dniproenergo's gross profits in October-December 2009 came to UAH 50.94 million, compared to UAH 51.39 million in gross losses in October-December 2008.
Dniproenergo is the largest electricity supply company in Ukraine in terms of electricity transmission and supply. The company exploits power transmission lines in Dnipropetrovsk region.
Energy Company of Ukraine owns a 75% stake in the company, and a 15.89% stake belongs to Cyprus-based Lavra Investments Limited.
