Restrictions on meat, dairy products supplies to Kazakhstan lifted for eight Ukrainian companies – ministry

The Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine, as part of the negotiations on Kazakhstan joining the World Trade Organization (WTO), has managed to achieve the lifting of restrictions on imports of the dairy and meat products of eight Ukrainian producers to Kazakhstan, and agreements on the enlargement of the list by another seven companies have been reached, the ministry has reported, referring to the trade representative of Ukraine – deputy minister Natalia Mykolska.
She said the list includes Zhytomyr Butter Factory, Kaniv branch of Cheese Club LLC, Lityn Milk Factory, Kupiansk milk canning plant, Zevs Ltd., Svizhenka, Cherkasy Food Company, and Tehmolprom.
She said the seven companies are the following: Milk House, Lactalis-Mykolaiv, Ichnia Milk Canning Plant, Zvenyhorod Cheese Factory, Zhashkiv Butter Factory, Bar Poultry Farm and Agromars Complex.
Mykolska also said that a bilateral protocol was signed between Ukraine and Kazakhstan on June 19.
"This would allow Ukraine to protect its interests if the imports duties are changed by the other side after it joins WTO," she said.
