The consumer sentiment index in Ukraine in May improved by 4.2 points and returned to the level of January - 45.6 points (from zero to 200) due to improved economic expectations: the evaluation of opportunities for economic growth in the next five years and changes in personal financial situations, according to a monthly study by GfK Ukraine.
"Growth in consumer sentiment in May occurred primarily due to improved expectations. The economic situation has stabilized and Ukrainians hope for its improvement in the future," the company analysts said.
