A draft financial plan of national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy for 2015 foresees administrative expenses of around UAH 600 million, Deputy Head of the parliamentary committee for housing and utilities economy, construction and town-planning Olena Babak said at a seminar entitled "Problematic issues of the heating season 2014/15 and preparation for the work in the autumn-winter period of 2015-2016," which was held in Zhytomyr on Wednesday.
"I think that the NCER [the National Commission of Ukraine for Energy and Housing and Utilities Services Regulation] should fulfill its functions and oblige Naftogaz Ukrainy to publish its financial plan – they have at least UAH 600 million of administrative expenses," she said.
Babak said that, with the increase of the gas and heating tariffs for households, it is very important to ensure the transparency of the tariffs and the operation of Naftogaz Ukrainy.
The Naftogaz Ukrainy press service told Interfax-Ukraine that the financial plan for 2015 has not been approved, and that it is too early to comment on it.
Naftogaz Ukrainy unites oil and gas production assets in Ukraine, and is the country's gas transit, underground gas storage, and oil pipeline transportation monopoly.
