NCSSM to draw up list of market players from ATO zone to prevent violation of rights

The National Commission for Securities and the Stock Market of Ukraine (NCSSM) plans to draw up a list of stock market players from the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone and the temporarily occupied territory who will receive recommendations to temporarily or permanently change the place of registration to prevent the violation of the rights of investors.

According to a commission press release, this is stipulated in the recommendations on preventing the violation of investors' rights and taking measures to prevent risks during professional operations in the ATO zone and in the temporarily occupied territory, which was approved at a meeting of the regulator, held on March 3.

Director of the department for regulation of the operation of traders with securities and stock exchanges at the commission Iryna Ustenko said that the stock market regulator had studied Ukrainian laws on the issue of measures to support economic entities operating in the ATO zone or in the temporarily occupied territory. After finishing the study the commission drew up the above-mentioned document regulating the requirements of carrying out operations by traders with securities, asset management companies and corporate investment funds, as well as coordinating the operation of the commission and other professional stock market players in cooperation with license holders from the above-mentioned territories.

The recommendations envisage the creation of an open and accessible list of stock market players to which the decision applies.

The list will be published on the official website of the commission and in official printed sources.
