Deposit Guarantee Fund replaces temporary administrator at Expobank, liquidator at Promeconombank
The Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund has appointed Ihor Voloschuk temporary administrator at Expobank, who replaced Yuriy Bondar on the post, the fund has reported on its official website.
Bondar was appointed temporary administrator at Bank Cambio.
Voloschuk earlier was liquidator of Promeconombank: Oleksandr Huley has been appointed to the post.
As reported, temporary administration at Expobank was introduced on September 25, 2014 for three months – until December 25, 2014.
Expobank was founded in 1991. According to the NBU, on January 1, 2014 the bank had no shareholders with a significant participation.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, on July 1, 2014 by total assets Expobank ranked 54th (UAH 2.664 billion) among the 173 banks operating in the country.
Promeconombank was founded in 1993. Its largest shareholder on April 1, 2014 was PJSC Supreme-K (42.4971%).
As reported, temporary administration was introduced to Promeconombank for three months until August 21, 2014. The fund prolonged temporary administration at Promeconombank until September 22, 2014. On August 22, an agreement on the transfer of a part of assets and liabilities of Promeconombank was signed with Fidobank. Under the conditions of the agreements, Fidobank accepted liabilities of Promeconombank on deposits and banking accounts of individuals in the amount of up to UAH 200,000 in the equivalent and credits of companies and individuals and claims to collaterals, apart from currency-pegged mortgage credits of individuals.
The decision to liquidate Promeconombank is stipulated in NBU resolution No. 552 of September 5, 2014.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, in terms of total assets as of July 1, 2014, and Promeconombank was ranked 108th (UAH 854.824 million) among the 173 banks operating in the country.
