Ukraine's draft budget for 2010 proposes local budgets' general fund at UAH 129.5 b

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has proposed setting the general fund of local budgets for next year at UAH 129.481 billion.

A draft bill on the national budget for 2010 was presented at the congress of the All-Ukrainian Association of Village and Town Councils chaired by Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko in Kyiv on Saturday.

According to the draft budget, the general fund of local budgets for 2010 will stand at UAH 129.481 billion, which is 20.8% more than in the state budget for 2009.

At the same time, the overall volume of inter-budget transfers from the general fund of the state budget to rural and town budgets will be UAH 72.912 billion.

Expenses of local budgets in 2010 are projected at UAH 10.302 billion, 20.4% up compared to this year's budget.

Meanwhile, the labor remuneration fund will be UAH 66.374 billion.

The draft state budget for 2010 will take into account the proposed new level of minimum wages for state-sector employees: UAH 681 starting from January 1, UAH 696 starting from April 1, UAH 700 – starting from July 1, UAH 719 starting from October 1, and UAH 734 starting from December 1.

The document envisages UAH 28.26 billion spending on health care.
