The price of A-95 petrol at Ukrainian fuel stations will not exceed the current level of UAH 7.5-7.7 per liter by late August, A-95 Consulting Group Director Serhiy Kuyun considers.
Kuyun said that among the key factors restraining the further growth of petrol prices is the fact the owners of fuel stations are not interested in this as an increase in fuel prices would lead to a fall in sales.
According to Kuyun, the main factor of the growth of fuel prices on the Ukrainian market today is the instability of the national currency rate. "The matter concerns not only the absolute rate meaning, but uncertainty caused by unpredictable fluctuations on the currency market," Kuyun said.
Denys Sakva, the analyst of Dragon Capital investment company (Kyiv), estimating the main reasons for the growth of fuel prices in Ukraine, also named the growth of world oil prices.
