The launch of the first light city train to run from the Troyeschyna station to the Petrivka station is to take place at 1400 on August 31, 2009, the press service of Kyiv city state administration has reported.
First passengers of the first city train would be Kyiv Mayor Leonid Chernovetsky, first deputy head of Kyiv city state administration Denys Bass, the head of the Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways Oleksiy Kryvopishyn, director general of Kyivpastrans Mykola Lambutsky and mass media representatives.
Fares for the city train would be set in line with city tariffs for municipal public traffic. Passengers entitled benefits would use the city train free of charge.
New buses No. 59, 60 and 61 would bring passengers from the Troyeschyna, Raiduzhny and Voskresenka districts.
