The Lvivska Brama metro station in Kyiv will be commissioned in 2015, Director General of PJSC Kyivmetrobud Volodymyr Petrenko has said.

"We want to start building the Lvivska Brama station next year, but, of course, we need to find funds, and we intend to commission it in 2015," he told reporters during the official opening of the Teremky metro station in Kyiv on November 6.

According to Petrenko, during a meeting with head of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov it was agreed that in 2014 the construction of an escalator tunnel will start at the station, and in 2015 escalators will be bought.

The Lvivska Brama station will be built on the section between the stations Zoloti Vorota and Lukyanivska on the Syretsko-Pecherska line of Kyiv Metropoliten, which was put in operation in 1997. Due to there being no surface station facilities near Lvivska Square, it currently exists as an underground object that subway trains pass without stopping.
