The deficit of the Ukrainian national budget in January to October 2008 was UAH 14.1 million or 0.002% of GDP, according to a posting on the Web site of the Economy Ministry.
"The surplus of the consolidated budget in January to October 2008 was UAH 7.348 billion (UAH 4.223 billion last year). The national budget was fulfilled with a deficit of UAH 14.1 million (last year the deficit was UAH 4.767 billion)," reads the report.
The Economy Ministry said that the revenues of the consolidated budget in January to October 2008 were UAH 242.536 billion, with the fulfillment of the annual target at 81.2%, and the revenues of the national budget were UAH 188.028 billion, with the fulfillment of the target at 83.7%.
The expenses of the consolidated budget over the period reached UAH 233.539 billion (73.6% of the annual target), and that of the national budget – UAH 186.448 billion (77.8%).
