Arena Lviv Stadium gets new manager

The Arena Lviv Football Stadium has received a new manager Roman Cherkhavy, the press service of the Sports Arenas of Ukraine State Concern reported on Monday.

"The sports facility, which is currently lead by Roman Cherkhavy is a modern European arena, which can host sport and entertainment events on international scale. Therefore, the new manager and his team are facing the task of making Arena Lviv a successful business project," the press service quoted the CEO of Sports Arenas of Ukraine Serhiy Symak as saying.

As reported, Arena Lviv was built to host Euro 2012 matches. It opened on October 29, 2011. The stadium can seat 34,915 spectators. The project costs UAH 2.3 billion.

The stadium hosted the last match last summer, when FC Shakhtar Donetsk placed against FC Hoverla Uzhgorod. The stadium is currently being refurbished.
