The National Bank of Ukraine will be able to provide NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy with foreign currency, according to NBU Council head Petro Poroshenko.
"If Naftogaz Ukrainy's funds are transferred to the National Bank of Ukraine and if a real market rate is set, Naftogaz will surely [be able to] buy currency," he told reporters on Wednesday.
As was reported, Naftogaz head Oleh Dubyna said on Wednesday that the fact that the company cannot buy foreign currency on the interbank market complicates its making payments for the gas imported by Ukraine.
